About Lustr Sazan

What Lustr Sazan is for, who writes it, how claims are checked, and where to write when we get something wrong.

About this blog

This is a blog and nothing more complicated than that. Nothing is deleted once it is up, so the archive is the full record, written to the standard of the line under the logo, Chandeliers and the light they give.

This site grew out of a spreadsheet. Farzaneh Delacroix had been tracking chandeliers, lighting design, installation and buying lights for years, mostly to stop repeating the same mistakes, and it turned out other people wanted the same answers.

The method

The method is dull and it works. Explain what happens, explain what it costs, explain what can go wrong, then stop writing.

We buy what we write about. It is slower, it is more expensive, and it is the only arrangement that lets us say a thing was not worth it.

How claims get checked and how money is disclosed is written down separately, on the editorial policy page.

Where the articles sit

  • Chandeliers. Chandelier styles, sizes and the care that keeps crystal shining.
  • Lighting Design. Layers of light, colour temperature and how a room should feel.
  • Installation. Hanging heights, wiring, support and safety for ceiling lights.
  • Buying Lighting. Choosing and buying lights without regretting it a month later.
  • Games. Video games and gaming, from what we play to how games connect to the rest of life.

One article, one topic. It keeps the category pages usable, and in practice chandeliers, lighting design and installation are where most readers end up.

Who writes here

Every article carries the name of the person who wrote it, and every name links to a page listing everything else they have written.

Farzaneh Delacroix, Chandelier and interiors writer. Farzaneh grew up in a family of crystal chandelier makers and spent her childhood among glass drops and brass arms. She writes about chandelier styles, sizes and care.

Ambrose Whitlock, Lighting designer. Ambrose designs lighting for restaurants and homes. He writes about layering light, colour temperature and the way a room should feel at nine in the evening.

Nikolai Ferreira, Electrician and installer. Nikolai is an electrician who has hung several hundred ceiling lights, some of them very heavy. He writes about installation, support and safety without skipping the dull parts.

Who pays for this

The site pays for itself through a small number of outbound links. It has never been enough to change what gets written, and the day it is, we will say so here.

Where we stop

What we do not do is predict outcomes. Nothing about chandeliers, lighting design, installation and buying lights works that way, and pages that pretend otherwise are selling something.

Telling us we are wrong

Point at the sentence. Write to info@lustrsazan.com or use the contact page. Factual errors are fixed quickly, and when a correction changes the conclusion of a piece we say so at the foot of the page rather than editing quietly.
